Gameloft which is one of the mobile gaming industry’s top developers is experimenting on how to distribute its Android games. Just recently, Gameloft started offering direct purchase/download of its game from the company website. So this means that those apps are unsigned copies and you will have to allow your Android phones to accept apps from unknown sources. But this is just fine, I’m pretty sure we’ve all done this before on your respective Android phones. In an email sent to Wired.com, Gameloft VP of Publishing Baudouin Corman said that his company thinks that the Android is still in early stages of game distribution. He said that Gameloft wants to test as many avenues as possible to optimize its game distribution. Ten Gameloft game titles have been made available on the site right now. If you’ve been playing most of the game on other platforms, you will surely love how these games play up on your powerful Android phones. Some of the games available for purchase from Gameloft’s site include – NOVA, Assasin’s Creed, Asphalt 5, Modern Combat Sandstorm and more. You can pay for games using your credit cards and other internationally accepted debit cards and must also register to be able to purchase these games. Aside from this, Gameloft is also now allowing Android phone owners to try their games before actually purchasing them. You can check out which of these game you can try out by visiting Gameloft’s site. Or if you visit the site on your desktop browser and enter your phone number to receive an SMS containing link to download the trial version of the games. So, what do you think? Will this type of game distribution click with Android users? Will you be purchasing some of these games directly from the Gameloft site?
