Google Music’s Leap Year Sale – 29 albums for $2.99

by On February 29, 2012

Overview

The big G decided to celebrate Leap Year today by offering up a whopping 29 full albums for $2.99 through the music section of the Android Market. It’s a great sale and they’ve got a little something for everyone, but you’ll have to act fast as this sale won’t last long. When I said they have a little something for everyone, I wasn’t kidding as the team behind Google Music really put together a nice list of albums for sale. Want Rap or R&B? Well, they’ve got albums from Jay Dee, Drake, Big Sean, Jay-Z, David Guetta, Eminem, Snoop Dog, and Dr. Dre. There are a few country albums from Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum and if you want to go with some classic tunes you can pick up albums from Elton John, Marvin Gaye, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and the late, great Bob Marley. The rest of the selection is a nice mix of albums from Maroon 5, LMFAO, Van Halen, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Selena Gomes, and Dia Frampton. I’m sure I’ve missed a few, but as you can see there are some great artists involved in the sale with the exception of the classics most of the albums are the artists newer stuff.

Verdict

I’m not sure if it’s a 24 hour sale or will last a few days, but I can assure you I’ll be picking a few of these up. Personally, I’m going to grab The Chronic, Dark Side of the Moon, and Legend Deluxe from Mr. Bob Marley. It’s a great sale and I’m glad to see Google promoting their music service while trying to break people out of the boring old iTunes routine. If you want to get a deal on some great music you can pick up any or all of the albums in the sale at the link below.
