Google Nexus S Goes Up for Sale, Who's Buying?

by On December 16, 2010

Today is the day folks! For those who got excited when Google announced about its second Android phone – the Google Nexus S, you can now place your order of the Nexus S and receive your new Android phone tomorrow as Best Buy promises to deliver within 24 hours without any charge. Best Buy finally activates the ordering button for the Nexus S. Although the Nexus S was supposed to come out unlock, Best Buy however is not offering the contract free version online. I’m not really sure if this is the case if you opt to buy the Nexus S on Best Buy Stores. Anyway, if you decide to purchase the said Android phone via Best Buy’s online store, you’ll have various T-Mobile data plans to choose from. Whatever data plan you choose, you need to pay $199.99 for the phone and sign a two-year contract. As a review, the Google Nexus S boasts of the following specs and features:

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread preloaded
  • 4-inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 resolution
  • 5.0MP digital camera with autofocus and flash
  • Virtual QWERTY keyboard
  • Built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n network
  • 16GB of built-in memory
  • Contour display

So, who’s getting the Nexus S? I wanted to but unfortunately the unlocked version is not yet available online. Update: The Google Mobile Blog has a brief post announcing availability of the Nexus S.
