Tomorrow marks the launch of the Google Nexus S Android smartphone in Europe. It is also the first smartphone in Europe to feature the latest version of Android — Android 2.2 (aka Gingerbread). When the Google Nexus S was first announced, Carphone Warehouse was expected to sell the SIM free phone for £549, which is pretty expensive. However, just recently, Carphone Warehouse lowered the price of the Google Nexus S unlocked to £429, without warning. It could be trying to make the Nexus S more attractive with a lowered price, but otherwise, there is no official reason why the price was unexpectedly lowered. Anyone looking to pick up a Google Nexus S in Europe tomorrow?
