The newest Fast & Furious movie hits theaters in the US this week, and as you’d expect a Fast & Furious 6 game has arrived. Fast & Furious 6: The Game was just released by the folks at Kabam, and if you live your life a quarter mile at a time you’ll probably want to check it out. The Fast & Furious 6 game lets you step into the world of the Fast& Furious where you’ll race against the top drivers in the London street scene. You’ll have access to a wide variety of supercars including high-end licensed rides that you see in the film. All the rides are customizable, and you’ll use standard & premium currency to upgrade your rides with. The Fast & Furious 6 game follows the freemium model so you’ll probably have to dig deep if you want the best gear in the game. Fast & Furious 6 is not your typical racing game. There are plenty of faces, but it’s basically a drag racing game as you don’t steer the car. You simple need to get a good takeoff and shift… that’s it. Drag racing games can still be a blast – unfortunately this one isn’t. I’m not a huge fan of the Fast & Furious flicks (liked the early ones), but I do like racing games so I was anxious to give Fast & Furious 6: The Game a shot. The game is full of bugs, the animations are choppy, and it occasionally crashes. A quick glance at the comments on Google Play lets you know it’s pretty widespread as well. There also seems to be an issue with the whole “pay to play” side of the game, so be prepared. The freemium model is what it is, but one would assume that Kabam will get the technical issues sorted out shortly. If you want to take the Fast & Furious 6 game for a spin, you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
