Little Amazon Sprints onto Google Play

by On

Little.Amazon-AndroidLittle Amazon made a splash on iOS earlier in the year, and last night it finally made its way to Google Play. It’s a stylish running game involving a little girl named Lily, and you’re going to have to help her escape the lair of the evil demon Grûûl. Amazon is an Endless Runner with simple, two button controls. One button jumps while the other shoots—the running is automatic of course. You’ll notice pretty quickly that Lily isn’t the most agile creature as you’re going to come up short on a lot of your jumps or run into something sharp. This is remedied by Little Amazon’s shop which is where you can upgrade your skills using coins won in the game. You can upgrade Lily’s jumping ability, buy power-ups, and unlock new attacks. The game also features collections, achievements, and a nice storyline that unlocks as you progress through the game. Little Amazon has a lot going for it, but there seems to be a lot going against it as well. The game has a cool storyline, cute characters, and its definitely a great looking game.  The balance feels off though as you really don’t have time to respond to hazards in spots. This means you’re going to die a lot which means you’re not going to earn much from playing. See where we are going with this? The iOS version was free, and the Android version is not. We’re not sure if there are any differences between the two versions, but the Android port feels like a Freemium game somebody decided to slap a price-tag on. We’ve been seeing a lot of this lately unfortunately– iOS gets them first and they get them for free. If you want to give it a shot, you can pick up Little Amazon for $1.99 on Google Play.
