Card battling games are a natural fit for touchscreen devices, and there are quite a few out there for the Android platform. Well, you can now add another title to that list as Mobage has just released a new Card Battling game called Rage of Bahamut. If you’ve never played a card battling game before you basically collect cards and use them in a battle that pits your deck against your opponents. There’s a lot more to it than that, but that’s the “basic” gist of things. Once cool feature is the ability to evolve cards which increases their rarity; you can evolve a card 4 times to make it much more powerful than it originally was. Rage of Bahamut also has an in-game economy that lets you purchase new times, synthesize characters, build alliances and much more. You can practice with friends to hone your skillset, pass tips along with the messaging system and gain merits by messaging comrades and building up your offensive & defensive capabilities. The game is free to play with some in-app purchases available, but if you don’t already have a free account with Mobage you’ll have to set one up to get started.
Personally, I’ve only played one other card battling game for Android and have been looking for another good one since then. Rage of Bahamut looks to be a solid game and seems to have quite a bit of depth, but I’ve only been able to give it a go briefly on a friend’s phone as it’s not compatible with my device yet. If you’re into card battling games you’ll probably want to check this one out, you can pick up Rage of Bahamut for free in the Android market.
