Mobage releases Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade for Android

by On December 15, 2012

In news that makes you say “WTF?” Mobage has just released Final Fantasy airborne Brigade for Android. Yes it’s another official Final Fantasy game, and it’s not from Square Enix oddly enough. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I’ll give you one guess… Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade is a card collecting game that drops you into the realm of the Final Fantasy Universe where you’ll duke it out with the likes of Goblins and bosses like Ifrit. Yup, they’ll be a lot of familiar faces in the game and that’s really about the only good thing I have to say about it unfortunately. Well that, and the style of the game looks cool. The bad starts as the game has no sound. Not a deal breaker to most, but seriously… no sound? The second thing that makes this games suck is the fact that it’s on autopilot and you don’t really “play” anything at all. You simply seem to sit there in silence tapping the advance button to make your character fight. There’s a bit more to it than that, but that’s the gist of it. I’m sure I’ll get ripped for ripping on the game so hard, but sorry folks I call em’ like I see them and as a Final Fantasy fan I loathe this game. Will they add sound? I have no idea, but it’s a very odd choice not to include audio and if it’s an oversight on someone’s part it’s a massive one. If you want to see the debacle of Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade for yourself you can head on over to Google Play and download it for free.
