The first Android tablet to run Android Honeycomb (the Motorola Xoom) has received its first price cut from $599 to $499. Keep in mind this is the 32GB WiFi only version that can be purchased through various retail chains. Since Motorola is supposed to launch the Motorola Xoom with 4G LTE capability sometime this summer, it is quite possible that Motorola is looking to move more WiFi Xooms in order to make space for the arrival of the 4G LTE Xoom and possibly even a Xoom 2. While the iPad may have a strong hold on the tablet market, there is still room for an Android tablet to take over, but we have not seen a clear winner just yet. A possible Xoom 2 by Motorola would be interesting, to say the least.
