Pictures of the he Sony Xperia Z1 also known as Honami were leaked again over the internet, now we can brag with an official press image so this time there are no doubts about its authenticity. In the leaked image we can see the three versions of the Z1, black, white and purple.
These are the same colors as in the current flagship, the Xperia Z, so it’s no biggie after all, even the design is almost identical. It seems that the design department at Sony Mobile is not even trying anymore. To be honest, there is one difference between the two, the next high-end droid from Sony will feature a metal frame which runs around the smartphone. For the moment, it’s not very clear what’s the catch, if this is the actual frame of the device or is an antenna, like the one in the iPhone.
The Sony Xperia Z1 is set to be the next flagship from the Japanese company and it is one of the most expected smartphones in this autumn. According to previous leaks, the Z1 will run on the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Platform, featuring a quad core CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz, it will have 2 GB of RAM, a fantastic (from specs) 20 Megapixels camera with a single LED flash and a 5 inches wide 1080p display, also a 3000 mAh battery and almost sure it’s gonna be a water/dust proof device, just like the Xperia Z is.Plus, of course, all the cool features one can expect from a high end Android smartphone.
The official release date wasn’t announced yet but the Z1 is expected to be revealed at IFA in Berlin, on September 4’th.
