Path Android App Brings In Some Significant Changes

by On February 5, 2012

Among the location-based, checking-in apps, Path is the youngest and yet already enjoying significant followings. Well, at least on my end because I’ve receiving notifications from acquiantances who’ve been adding me to their list of Path friends. So, this kind of prompted me to use the Path Android app more, lately. For those of you who’ve been pretty active in using Path, you’ll be glad to know that the Android app was just updated to version 2.0.30. Tumblr users will be glad about this update as the app now supports the microblogging service. Aside from Tumblr support, Path also enabled full settings screen as well as support for 720p screen display. This should make Galaxy Nexus users happy as well. Other significant changes to the Path Android app include:

  1. Moon phases when sleeping
  2. Support for 320×480 screens
  3. Better friend invite screens
  4. Cosmetic enhancements
  5. Improved scrolling performance on feed screen
  6. Tapping menu soft key now directly displays full menu
  7. and of course the usual bug fixes and performance improvements
Path is available now as a free download from the Android Market. For the uninformed, this Android app is similar to Foursquare as it allows you to check-in to places as well as share images, music and other stuff about yourself – to your exclusive friends.
