Pocket, formerly known as Read-It-Later app has just been updated and is now available for download from Google Play. Topbilling the new features of the updated Pocket Android app is text-to-speech which can read to you your saved articles. Luckily for us, Android users, this feature is not yet available for Pocket’s iOS counterpart. Additionally, the app’s feature to manage site subscription is now working on all Android OS versions. When reading save articles, the full screen animation was also improved. And when you’re sharing articles to Evernote, the URL shortener is now disabled. Some user interface were also tweaked in the update although nothing biggie but just few minor tweaks here. Other things that were fixed in the updated Pocket for Android include:

  • – ZTE Blade crash when opening an article
  • Blank help screen on Jelly Bean
  • After marking a link to “Read Later” inside an article, Archiving/Favoriting would affect the wrong link
  • Minor bug fixes
