With the onslaught of new tablets announced during the Mobile World Congress 2011 – with most of them running Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, the folks at QuickOffice are prepping up their QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite for Android. The new QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite will be available in the Android Market and will be preloaded on the upcoming Motorola XOOM. The new QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite will allow full editing of Microsoft Office files and lets you store files in the cloud in cooperation with various cloud storage services including Apple MobileMe, Google Docs, Box.net, Dropbox, SugarSync and more. The Android app will sport a new user interface customized specifically for Android Honeycomb and will take full advantage of the larger tablet screens. In addition, the app will also take full use of Honeycomb’s UI elements and navigation paradigms to feature contextual action bar, fragments, and drag and drop functionality. In case you haven’t used QuickOffice Connect Mobile for Android before, well now is probably the best time to check it out. The app lets you view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents including Office 97-2010 file formats as well as PDF files.
