A few days back MTV Networks dropped a little game called SpongeBob Marbles & Slides onto Google Play. The game combines physics with drawing as you try to help SpongeBob & the gang steal the Krabby Patty recipe. If you dig the annoying little creature known as Spongebob, you’ll definitely dig this game. SpongeBob Marbles & Slides is a physics puzzler that puts you to work trying to guide sponge marbles to the goal on each level. Some levels require to draw shapes (slides) to move your marbles while others have you titling your phone to get things moving. At the end of each level you’re awarded a score along with some crab patties depending on how well you do. The levels seem to vary quite a bit from drawing to tilting; sometimes you’ll do both and as with any good physics game there are all sorts of wacky obstacles you’ll have to get past. There are around 80 levels in the game, and if you’ve got an old school pair or red & blue 3D glasses you can flick a button and play SpongeBob Marbles in 3D.
If you’re a fan of the quirky little character and his friends, SpongeBob Marbles & Slides is a game you’ll probably want to check out. SpongeBob has been around for awhile so kids and adults should be able to enjoy the game although younger kids will probably have some issues with the harder levels. I only gave the game a brief play, but it seems to be a solid puzzler with quite a bit of depth. There isn’t a free version available at this time, but you can pick up the full version of SpongeBob Marbles & Slides on Google Play for $3.99.
