In case you’ve been anxiously waiting for the Motorola Droid 2 to be rooted, you’ll be pleased to know the guys over at XDA-Developers managed to find a root for the Droid 2. Rooting a device is useful in installing custom ROMs and tethering your device for free. As you can imagine, manufacturers don’t look kindly upon rooting so expect an OTA software update to patch up the root in the near future, but for now you can certainly take advantage of the root. It is important to proceed with caution when rooting your device as it isn’t the simple one-click process we have seen in the past.
