CES 2011 portrayed many innovative devices ranging from TVs, to cars, to smartphones, and to tablets, but perhaps one of the most interesting product ideas and concepts on display at the annual tech show was the Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone that doubles as a portable netbook. Expected to launch on AT&T for an unannounced price, one of its biggest accessories — the laptop dock, is rumored to cost $150 when it launches. This information is coming by way of a Best Buy employee who spoke to an AT&T representative regarding the laptop dock. Considering it comes with an 11.6 inch screen, full keyboard, battery, and speaker system, its price tag is not too surprising, since the Atrix itself will do most of the heavy lifting in terms of processor power. Hopefully the Android smartphone’s retail price isn’t too expensive because I expect many people would like to take advantage of the smartphone + laptop combo.
