by On February 5, 2013

Samsung is continuing its streak of releasing budget friendly entry level smartphones. Just like it always does before the inevitable big flagships steal the limelight. Today the Korean manufacturer announced the Samsung Galaxy Young and Samsung Galaxy Fame; both are targeted at the entry level customers. The smartphone duo is powered by a 1 GHz processor and will have 512 MB RAM. The Samsung galaxy Young and Fame both follow the design of Galaxy S3 very closely, which however beautiful is getting stale fast. The smartphones have little differences too, noticeably the screen sizes. The Galaxy Fame supports a 3.5 inch display while the Galaxy Young has a 3.27 inch screen. However, both of the smartphones have a relatively low resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The Galaxy Young as the name implies, is the younger one hence will have lower privileges. The Galaxy Fame has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, while the Young gets a 3 MP snapper without flash. The younger brother always gets fewer things, this is the world works. The Galaxy Fame also has a front facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Young and Fame, both will house a 1300 mAh battery and 4 GB of on board storage. A microSD card slot is also available for further expansions. The Galaxy Young will have more colors to choose from, coming in deep blue, white, wine red and metallic silver. The Galaxy Fame will have only two, the boring black and obligatory white. Both of the smartphones will be available in Dual SIM and standard flavors. One good thing about these budget phones is that they will be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Apart from these details there has been no word about the pricing or the regions slated to get the smartphones. Follow the source link to get more details about the Galaxy Young and Fame.
