At the Samsung event on November 8, Samsung is expected to announce the Continuum, a unique Android smartphone slated to launch on Verizon Wireless three days after the event. In addition, Motorola is expected to launch the Citrus, an entry-level Android device also slated for the Verizon network, on November 11. The spec sheets of both Android smartphones have been leaked to PhoneArena and confirm the core specs, but pricing remains up in the air. The Samsung Continuum is expected to feature a 3.4 inch Super AMOLED Display with a 1.8 inch Super AMOLED Display on the bottom. The 3.4 inch screen serves as the main screen, while the secondary 1.8 inch screen is meant for alerts and text messages. Whether the new concept design is a hit or miss will remain to be seen. The Continuum uses a 1GHz Processor, operates on Android 2.2, 5MP camera with flash, 720p video recording, Bluetooth, WiFi, 2GB internal memory with 8GB microSD card included, and it sports TouchWiz 3.0. Meanwhile, the Motorola Citrus features a 3 inch display, operates on Android 2.1, 3MP camera, 2GB microSD card pre-installed, and has seven home screens. Again, there is no word on pricing for the Citrus as this time, but it should be a cheap phone given its low-end specs.
