Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Photo Leaked

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active There were quite a few rumors about a mysterious Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, codenamed I9295, but now we have pictures to prove its existence. According to the leaked photos, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is a tougher version of the current flagship, the S4, and as the name suggests, it was created for those active geeks who actually leave their houses and live dangerously. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is designed to be waterproof and dustproof, it looks like Samsung took a hint from the Sony Xperia line and Motorola (if I’m not mistaken, the Motorola Defy is dustproof/waterproof). These Koreans are learning fast, as you can see, what can be cooler than having a flagship smartphone that you could actually use when you’re going commando? Going on with the breaking news, the tech specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will be essentially the same like in the good ol’S4, i.e. it will run Android on a quad core CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz and will feature an Adreno 320 GPU with a Snapdragon 600 chipset, most likely. Don’t get your hopes high for an Exynos, alright folks? The screen will also be the same 5 inches wide 1080p full HD, but we don’t know for sure if it will be a Super AMOLED unit. According to the insider info, the pixel per inch density is supposedly 480ppi, which could mean the display will be a tad smaller, but that’s a rumor at the moment. The only downgrade in the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active seems to be the camera, with only 8MP resolution, vs. the 13 MP on the “regular” S4. Despite sharing basically the same platform, the two “brothers” look very different; this is quite normal actually, since they are targeted for different audiences. The roughneck comes with a metallic shell, in order to be indestructible, and it has 3 hardware buttons. Even if Samsung kept quiet about the Chuck Norris smartphone, since it was showcased in Croatia, it’s a matter of time until the official announcement.   Source:  Leon Majceni
