Galaxy Note 3As rumored, Samsung has officially unveiled the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. If you’re a fan of Sammy a new tablet release is usually a reason to celebrate, but you may want to hold off on that this time around. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is a 7-incher and looks to be an upgrade over the current 7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 2. A few things have gotten a boost, but to say the tablet is a underwhelming would be a fitting statement. Here’s a breakdown of the stats…

  • 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor
  • 7 inch WSVGA Display – 1024×600 with 169 ppi
  • 3 MP Rear Camera / 1.3 MP Front Camera
  • 8GB or 16GB of Internal Memory
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 4,000 mAh Battery
  • Android 4.1

The processor has received a minor upgrade and you can now get a bit more storage space with a 16GB, but everything else looks be basically the same. Samsung always nails it on the Galaxy S line of phones, but they can’t seem to do the same for their Samsung Galaxy Tablets. I can’t see why anyone would pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 over the Nexus tab or Note, and it’s pretty disappointing to see Samsung putting out a weak display on the Galaxy Tab once again. No price has been announced, but the WiFi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be available in May with the 3G version coming in June. Source – Samsung
