Samsung SCH-i520 Announced By Verizon Wireless, Features 4G and 4.3 Inch Touch ScreenOn January 7, 2011
To round out the last Verizon Wireless 4G smartphone announced today, Samsung has announced the SCH-i520. Interestingly enough, Samsung left out a clever name, like BIONIC, ThunderBolt, or Revolution and instead went ahead with its model number. Perhaps Samsung will reveal a clever/creative name when it officially launches at an unannounced date. The main, standout feature of the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone is its display. If you think about it, nearly all Samsung Android high-end smartphones are known for their displays, and Samsung doesn’t disappoint as the phone contains a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display. The Plus accounts for a 50% addition of sub-pixels, making for a better contrast and clearer picture. In addition, it features Android 2.2, 1GHz processor, HTML5 Web browser, Swype, 8MP rear facing camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, Media Hub, Social Hub, and WiFi. Of course, it features LTE access as well, making for a very well rounded smartphone with an emphasis on its display and video conferencing capabilities. The press release can be read below:
