Now that Samsung has established the Galaxy Tab as an official iPad competitor with the Android tablet fighting neck-to-neck against Apple in terms of sales, it’s just about time that Samsung unleash another Android product. This time it’s and Android-based Media Player that will obviously be geared up to rival the iPod devices. Samsung confirmed that it will be showcasing the said Android media player during the CES 2011 happening on January 6. And what does this new media player has to offer to make it worthy of being branded as an iPod competitor? Pretty much almost the same features as the Samsung Galaxy phone series, but this it’s not going to have radio frequencies to make an ordinary mobile phone call. The still un-named media player will feature – a 4-inch Super Clear LCD WVGA resolution (800×480) display, 1GHz CPU, Android 2.2 OS, T-DMB, SoundAlive audio enhancing technology, Bluetooth, 3.2MP rear facing camera and a front-facing VGA camera, HD video playback, microSD card slot and GPS.
