Six AT&T Smartphones Will Receive Android 2.3 Soon
Listen up AT&T Android smartphone owners, as there is a good chance your current smartphone will be upgraded to Android 2.3 in the near future. If the smartphone you own was launched by AT&T in 2011, it will definitely be upgraded to the modern Gingerbread. However, if you own the Samsung Captive, then you are in luck, because it will be upgraded as well. In case you’re not sure whether your phone was released in 2011 or not, here’s a complete list of the seven devices that will receive Android 2.3 soon enough. The LG Phoenix, Pantech Crossover, HTC Inspire, Samsung Infuse, Samsung Captivate, and the Motorola Atrix will each receive the update.
The Motorola Atrix Android 2.3 update is currently rolling-out to owners in the United States, so be on the look out for your update if you own the Atrix. AT&T says the Inspire is next on the list to receive Android 2.3, and that will occur sometime in August. Unfortunately, we are not sure when the other five smartphones will receive the update, but hopefully in the next few months.
