Songbird, a desktop music player that lets you manage your digital music collection is now available for your Android devices as well. Songbird beta has just been launched. And from the looks of it, Songbird Android app is a pretty straight-forward music player in the likes of other Android music player apps such as VLC, RealPlayer and of course the default Android music player app. I’ve downloaded the app on my Google Nexus One and so far, all I can say is that the app looks pretty good, interface and all. It also has some nice features including a built-in search as well as browse function to navigate through your music library by album, song, artist, genre and playlist. The app also lets you add the Songbird control as a widget to your Android phone’s homescreen. Overall, the beta version is quite good already. But it’s not bug-free of course. In fact, the Songbird blog has already listed down several of these bugs and they are now fixing it. In the meantime, if you want to try out Songbird Android app, you can download the APK file from here.
