While the 3G and soon to be 4G version of the Motorola Xoom is currently available through Verizon Wireless, many are still holding out for the cheaper, non-3G Motorola Xoom, which is expected to launch shortly. However, like most Android smartphones and tablets, release dates are hardly announced more than a week in advance, thus placing rumors on an elevated pedestal. According to a leaked Staples flyer, the WiFi only Motorola Xoom will be “arriving in stores March 27” and it sports a $599 price tag. A week ago, Sam’s Club had priced the WiFi only Xoom at $539, so the fact that Staples is pricing the Xoom at $599 makes sense. It is worth noting that Sam’s Club typically buys products like the Xoom in massive bulk, therefore allowing them to sell it a lower cost. Unfortunately, Motorola hasn’t confirmed the price nor the availability date of the Motorola Xoom sans 3G, but the information leaked by Staples does sound pretty legitimate.
