Swype-AndroidIt’s been a long time coming, but the fabulous keyboard alternative known as Swype has finally come out of Beta. Seriously. If you haven’t tried Nuance Communication’s keyboard there’s no time like the present as it’s the clicks keyboard app around…swype-2 Swype has been around and in Beta for about as long as I’ve owned an Android device. Instead of tapping on your on-screen keyboard, Swype allows you to slide your finger from one letter to the next to form words. Needless to say, it’s extremely efficient once you get the hang of Swyping and the new Android app if packed full of cool features. Swype uses something called “living language” which constantly updates your dictionary with trending words that helps the text prediction to stay current. The app also uses next word prediction because it’s creepy and likes to read your mind. There are a slew of other useful features as well including the ability to integrate Dragon Mobile Assistant into the keyboard so you can go hands free.Swype-1 There are plenty of stock keyboard alternatives out there, but Swype is and has always been one of the best. It’s nice to see it finally break out of beta, and there’s a 30 day trial you can use if you want to check it out. If you like Swype you can pick up the full version for $0.99, but only for a limited time.
