Today, we have some good news for the Samsung Galaxy S II owners with T-Mobile. It is a great smartphone with the only caveat being the fact that it launched with Android 2.3 and is taking a long time to upgrade to Android 4.0. Fortunately, T-Mobile tweeted the public some very exciting news today. As you can tell by the title, the Galaxy S II will finally receive the Android 4.0 update on June 11. The update will be delivered by Samsung’s proprietary software known as Kies. Many users find Kies an annoying process and would prefer OTA updates, but Samsung prefers to do it this way. If you are having trouble updating the Galaxy S II to Android 4.0 on June 11 through Kies, then you may want to consider visiting your local T-Mobile store so an employee can perform it for you. T-Mobile hasn’t released any details other than the date, so we will have to wait to see what other features and improvements will come with the update package. Stay tuned for more information as it is released!
