If you’re an Android fan and a watch aficionado, the Tag Heur Android Wear Smartwatch is a match made in heaven for you.
If you don’t know what I am talking about, well, the well known Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heur decided to build a smartwatch running on Android OS, thus slapping Apple’s watch and turning the Android crowd cheering for blood!
The price tag for this baby will be pretty hefty, at around $1400, but keep in mind that the Android Wear will be based on Tag Heur’s Carrera, which currently retails for $1500.
We don’t have many details about the upcoming wonder, but if we’re taking into account that Tag Heur is an awesome watch company, their Android love child promises to be flabbergasting.
What we do know is that the Android Wear will hit the shelves this autumn, in October or November and according to a Bloomberg interview given by Tag Heur’s CEO Jean Claude Biver, the smartwatch will have an autonomy of approximately 2 days/40 hours.
Jean-Claude also bragged when asked about Apple’s smartwatch, let me quote him on that because it’s kind of funny:
“The more they sell, the more a few people will want something different and come to Tag Heuer.”
Stay tuned for more news.
