Tapatalk HD beta now available for Android tablets

by On December 26, 2012

I’m one of the many folks who still participate in online community forums. I’ve been following several forums catering to different niches even while I’m on the go. And to do so, I’ve got Tapatalk mobile app installed on my iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3 but not yet on my Android tablet. This is because the Tapatalk Android app was not yet optimized for tablets well at least in non-beta form and the only way you can get the Tapatalk HD is to download it from the Tapatalk support forum. But that’s about to change as you can now download Tapatalk HD, the app optimized for Android tablet directly from Google Play. It’s still in beta form but is functioning fully even now. Take note that according to Tapatalk once this app is released out of beta, it will no longer be a free download. Even if you’ve downloaded and installed the beta version you will still need to purchase the regular version. The good news is that those who download the beta version will enjoy discounted rate when the full version becomes available. All that being said, Tapatalk HD beta runs on Android tablets with Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean installed. Of course it will also run on Android devices running Android 3.0 or later. But the experience will be better if you use the app on an Android tablet. The app features gallery view on bigger forums, push notifications for subscribed topics, private messaging, portrait and landscape view, forum moderations and two themes – dark and light. As it stands out, it’s a pretty good way of accessing your favorite online forums even while you’re on the move. The app has a nice interface and runs great on Google Nexus 7, and perhaps in other Android tablets as well. Hopefully, more themes will become available later on. You can download Tapatalk HD in beta form via this Google Play store link.
