This week’s edition of the Best New Android Games of the Week brings some great new Android Games to the table. Last week saw two popular games get sequels, and we got a third game featuring the hungry little alien known as Om Nom. There’s a little something for everyone, and we hope you enjoy our picks…

1. They Need to Be Fed 2

They Need to Be Fed was one of the coolest platform games we’ve ever played, and it’s a no-brainer that the sequel would make our list of the Best New Android Games. They Need to Be Fed 2 gives you 360 degree platforming across 50 new levels and they’ve even went and thrown an Epic Mode which switches things up (literally) once you’ve beaten the game. You can pick up Bit Ate Bit’s They Need to Be Fed 2 for $1.95 on Google Play.they.need.to.be.fed.2

2. Fangz

Tired of Zombies? If so then Fangz is the thing for you as it swaps out those tired old zombies for Vampires in a fun new side-scrolling beat ‘em up game. You’ll get to take on all sorts of ghoulish creatures (including lawyers) in the game’s 10 level campaign, and if that’s not enough for you Survival mode can really put your skills to the test. There’s a regular version and an HD version of Fangz you can check out; both versions are $1.99 on Google Play.fangz

3. Cut the Rope: Time Travelcut.the.rope

Zeptolab’s brought good ol’ Om Nom back last week with Cut the Rope: Time Travel for Android. The newest game in the series follows Om Nom through the ages as he goes back in time to save the world from Armageddon. Just kidding… he’s going back in time to eat a lot of candy with relatives. Time Travel is “twice” the fun as the original game, and you’ll see why as soon as you fire it up. There are 3 versions of the game available for download including lite, regular, and an HD version of the game.

4. First Wood War

I’m a sucker for a great RTS game, and last week we got an awesome one called First Wood War. The game puts you in control of an army of tree warriors, and you’ll have to crush your opponent’s castle before they can conquer yours. It’s a great looking game, and it’s free to download on Google Play.

5. Fist Fight Face

Fist against Face is the name of the game in Nocanwin’s Fist Face Fight for Android. You take control of a giant fist and have to punch ninjas in the face to keep them from stealing your heart. It’s just as much fun as it sounds, and it’s a game you’ll want to check out if you dig quick-play games. Fist Face Fight is available for free on Google Play.

6. Overkill 2

Overkill 2 is the 2nd sequel to make our list of the Best New Android Games this week, and if shooters are your thing it’s well worth a look. The follow-up is all about the guns as it brings over 30 weapons into the fray along with plenty of upgrades and menacing enemies. The game is a bit glitchy in spots, but still a lot of fun and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.overkill2

7. Avernum: Escape From the Pit

Spiderweb Software first grabbed our attention with Avadon: The Black Fortress, and now they’re back with Avernum: Escape From the Pit. It’s an Epic RPG set in a massive world with over 80 towns and dungeons which equates to around 30 hours of gameplay. No free version is available at this time, and the full version is a little pricey at $9.99, but worth it if you dig deep RPG’s.avernum

8. Big Win MLB

Hothead Games dropped another Big Win title last week, but things are a bit different this time around. Big Win MLB is the first card game from the developers to use real players from real Major League Baseball teams. The gameplay stays the same, but the addition of real players makes a huge difference if you enjoy sports sims. Big Win MLB is free to download on Google Play.big.win.mlb-1
