The Best New Android Games of the Week – June 24, 2013
We’re a little late with our Best New Android Games of the Week list, but as they say, better late than never. We saw a lot of great Indie’s this week, along with several high profile releases from major publishers. There’s a little something for everyone, and we hope you enjoy our picks for the Best New Android Games of the Week…
1. Fireball SE
Another week passes, and another addictive game from Radian Games makes our list of the Best New Android Games of the Week. Fireball SE is the latest title from the talented group, and if you like challenging games you’ll definitely dig this one. No free version is available, but trust us when we say Fireball SE is well worth the $1.99 price tag.
Disney dropped a new game in its Where’s My Water franchise last week with Where’s My Mickey?, and it may just be the best of the bunch. It stars a revamped Mickey Mouse, and takes the action outdoors where new gameplay elements come into play. You can read a bit more about it here or pick up the regular version for $0.99 on Google Play.
3. Tribloos 2
If you’re into time management games you may have heard of Tribloos from the Bumpkin Brothers. Last week they brought Tribloos 2 to Android, and it’s definitely one of the coolest time management sims we’ve seen. We’ll have more on this one later in the week, until then we highly advise you to check it out for yourself. You can pick up Tribloos 2 for $2.99 on Google Play.
Like stylistic puzzlers? If so, we’ve got a cool new one for you by the name of Miseria. You’ll have to guide an urchin through tricky puzzles in order to free him from the evil spider ogre, and reunite him with his lost love. It’s a great little puzzler, and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
5. 1 Bit Ball
Puzzle games are a dime a dozen, and we’re always on the lookout for something different. 1 Bit Ball is definitely different as you take control of a shrinking ball and try to maneuver it through 50 tricky levels. No free version is available at this time, but the full version will only set you back $1.49.
6. Bam Fu
Bam Fu is a multiplayer game that has players fight for colored pebbles. It can be played with up to four players, and it’s one of those games you just have to play for yourself. It’s a good game to play with your friends, and it’s free to download.
7. Yumby Toss
The last time we checked in on the Yumby’s they were smashing about the levels of the popular game Yumby Smash. Last week they came back in a new game, and it looks like they still love smashing into things. Yumby Toss puts you to work throwing Yumbies into monster infested buildings, and it’s just as fun as the original. You can pick up Yumby Toss for $0.99 on Google Play.
8. Tap Rocket
If you enjoy games like Jetpack Joyride there’s a new game from the folks at Eye Interactive you’ll want to check out. Tap Rocket is a zero-g runner with a unique style and simple one-touch controls. It’s also extremely addictive so you may want to clear up a little free time before sitting down to give it a go. The only drawback to the game is that it does use a lot of unnecessary permissions, so keep that in mind before downloading. Tap Rocket is free to download on Google Play.
