1. Combo Crew
The Combo Crew is a new touch-based brawler from the fine folks known as The Gamebakers. You’ll have to beat down hundreds of bad guys as you attempt to climb to the top of the tower, and you can even get a little help from your friends in using the games asynchronous multiplayer mode. 2. Tetris Blitz
EA finally unleashed its new version of Tetris onto the world this week, and it’s a game you’ll want to check out if you’re into puzzlers. Tetris Blitz gives you two-minutes to rack up as many points as possible, and you’ll get some handy power-ups to help you shoot for top spot on the leaderboards. We talked about this one a few days ago, and it was a lock to make our list of the Best New Android Apps of the week. COLORUS is a product of Ludum Dare 26, and it’s a puzzling endless runner with a cool Indie vibe. You can read a bit more about COLORUS here or download it on Google Play for only $0.99.
If you love stickman games you’ve probably played one of Djinnworks titles. Stickman Tennis is their latest game, and it’s also one of their best. You’ll get to place fast paced tennis against 100 different opponents, and there are several kinds of shots to master. We’ll have a full review on this one next week, until then we highly advise you to check it out. Stickman Tennis is free to download on Google Play.
Time management games come in many different forms, and Men’s Room Mayhem takes things to the bathroom. You’ll have to guide people to the toilets before getting them cleaned up and out the door which is a lot more fun than it sounds. It’s the most polished urine-based game you’ll ever play, and it’ll only set you back a buck. If you’re in the mood for some toilet humor you can pick up Ripstone’s Men’s Room Mayhem on Google Play.
Tin Man Games has put out some great “Choose your own Adventure” apps, and their latest may just be their greatest. Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 drops you in the middle of Mega-City One where you’ll go an adventure of your choosing. The game features several difficulty levels and uses real-time 3D dice roles to kick things up a notch. It’s one of the coolest interactive e-books we’ve seen, and its well worth the $5.99 price tag if you dig Dredd. Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 is available to download on Google Play.
7. Total Recoil
We’re always on the lookout for good shooters, and we got one last week with Total Recoil from Thumbstar Games. You’ll gear up and go to war against all sorts of enemies using a wide variety of upgradable weapons. The Flamethrower was our favorite. It’s a dual-stick shooter done right, and it’s free to download on Google Play.
Crix is the second indie puzzler to make our list this week, and it’s a game all about buttons. You’ll have to clear the board by turning off all the buttons, but certain ones switch on when others are turned off. Therein lies the rub… Crix has 160 different layouts that increase in difficulty, and it’s a game you’ll want to look into if you dig puzzlers.
