Simpsons fans rejoice as it seems that we are finally getting a taste of The Simpsons Tapped Out for Android. On January 25th Electronic Arts Nederland BV released the game onto Google Play, but only to certain regions of the world. While this does leave a lot of people out in the cold, it looks it won’t be long before everyone gets in on some Simpsons action. In case you’re unfamiliar with The Simpsons Tapped Out here’s the dealio. The game was released earlier last year on iOS, then pulled from the app store by EA due to some issues, and then put back out towards the end of last year. Needless to say the re-released version is a runaway hit and The Simpsons Tapped Out for Android is a game a lot of folks have been waiting to see. What makes it so awesome? You get to build Springfield from the ground up and you also have to help Homer find his family after a “doh” moment at the Nuclear power plant. Homer having a bad day at the power plant is generally a bad day for everyone in town as any Simpsons fan knows. I’ve only spend about 30 minutes playing The Simpsons Tapped Out for Android and it didn’t take long for me to see what the fuss was about. The game looks great, you get to build things from the show, and there’s a lot of mobile gaming themed humor to top it all off. The game has performed flawlessly so far on my S3 so far, and hopefully it won’t be long before it sees a wide release. If you’re lucky enough to live in a country where the game is you can download The Simpsons Tapped Out at the link below. We’ll let you know as soon as it becomes available in other regions.
