This week’s picks for our Top Android Apps of the Week cover a wide range of genres. We’ve got apps to increase your productivity, historical apps, and apps to keep the kids busy. There’s a little something for everyone so here we go with our list of the Top 10 Android Apps of the Week…

1. Google Calendar

This one’s pretty self-explanatory as you can now experience Google Calendar in all its glory on your Android device. The app syncs to your Google accounts to display events, important dates, and even allows you to email event guests with customized messages. It’s a free app and available to use if your running Android 4.0.3 or later.


The History Channel released a cool app this week with HISTORY Here. The app is an interactive guide to thousands of historic locales and is chocked full of great info on architecture, museums, famous homes and monuments. If you’re planning a trip or are a history buff History Here is a great app to have on hand and it’s free to download on Google Play.

3. Hotels by Orbitz

If you do a lot of travelling chances are you’ve heard of Orbitz, and now you can book a hotel on the go with the official Hotels by Orbitz app. The app gives you exclusive mobile deals, lets you browse by location or best value, and is very simple to use. It’s a quick and easy way to book a hotel room and it’s free to download on Google Play.

4. Fabrik Cloud eBook Reader

If you’re in the market for an eBook reader that can read from the cloud then you may want to take a look at Fabrik. This handy little eBook reader lets you customize your reading experience, works with dropbox, and supports several different formats. It’s a great looking eReader and you can get it for free on Google Play.

5. Spacedraw

If you’re into 3D modeling Spacedraw is the only app that lets you do it from your phone or tablet. It’s a full-featured 3D modeling app that lets you do all kinds of cool things and it works much better than I ever expected to be honest. I was into 3D modeling for years and this app is a must-have for anyone that enjoys playing with polygons and extruding surfaces. There’s a free version of Spacedraw you can checkout while the full version will only set you back $4.99.

6. MyNBA2K

The MyNBA2K app extends your NBA 2k13 experience as a companion app to the console game. You can play 9 mini-games for virtual currency and then use that currency to buy new skills and swag for use in the game. It’s free, it’s fun and you can get it on Google Play.

7. Yo Gabba Gabba! Glow Dancing!

We covered this one earlier in the week, and as simple as it is the kids really dig it. The Yo Gabba Gabba! Glow Dancing! app lets your kids boogie down with the Yo Gabba Gabba crew, and it’s a great way to keep the little ones occupied. No free version of this one, but the full version will only set you back $2.02.

8. Beintoo

If you’re looking for deal Beintoo can help you find it. The app works by turning the time you spend with your apps into virtual currency which can then be redeemed in stores. It looks like a good way to get some deals before the holiday season, and it’s free to use.

9. UglyBooth

We’ve seen FatBooth, MixBooth, and Aging Booth… now we have UglyBooth. The newest face changing app from PiVi & Co. let’s you warp, stretch, pimple-ize, and uglify your face or the face of your friends. It’s a good app for a laugh and it’s free to download.

10. easyFocus

easyFocus is a new app from Color Bracket that lets you produce SLR like focus & defocus effects on your photos. There are several different focus effects, a photo enhancement option, and it’s quick & easy to use. You can pick up easyFocus for free on Google Play.
