The Top 10 Android Games of the Week – December 2, 2012

Top 10 New Android Games We’re doing things a bit different with this week’s list of the Top 10 Android Games of the Week. Instead of running it on our sister-site Android-Games like we usually do, we’re bringing it back to home and will be running the Top 10 Android Apps list this Tuesday. Now that we got that out of the way we hope you enjoy our picks for the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week…

1. Motley Blocks

If you like puzzle games Square Enix’s new puzzler Motley Blocks is a game you’ll want to check out. Motley Blocks puts a strain on your brain as you’ll have to link together colored blocks in a moving three dimensional puzzle. It’s just as trippy as it sounds, and it’s quite a bit of fun. You can checkout Motley Blocks for free on Google Play.

2. Clay Jam

Clay Jam is an interesting new physics-based Android game from the minds at Fat Pebble. It’s not easy to describe so we’ll just tell you it involves you rolling a clay ball towards little clay monsters and taking on several mean old Bully Beasts. It’s one of those games you just have to play for yourself, and we highly suggest you do just that. Clay Jam is free to download on Google Play.clay jam android

3. Freeze

Frozen Gun games dropped an interesting Android game this week by the name of Freeze! It’s the story of an eyeball hero that’s been locked in a cell; luckily he’s got the power to alter gravity which is where the fun comes in. Great game and it’s free to download on Google Play.freeze android

4. Babel Rising Cataclysm

Bulkypix put another version of their popular Babel Rising game out this week with Babel Rising Cataclysm. The gameplay stays the same, but the layouts a bit different as you get a 40 level campaign to go along with survival mode. If you like the other Babel Rising games you’ll definitely dig this one and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.  

5. Jet Set Radio

Jet Set Radio finally made its way to Android this week and it was definitely worth the wait. The Dreamcast classic has been updated for mobiles, but it’s just as fun as the original and the controls are very simple to use. If you’re ready to tag up Tokyo-to you can get Sega’s Jet Set Radio for $4.99.

6. Stars vs. Paparazzi

We all know that Stars and Paparazzi’s generally don’t get along and AMA’s Stars vs Paparazzi lets you get in on the action as you’ll get to play a celebrity that’s under constant barrage from the photogs. You get 64 levels, lots of funky weapons, and 12 different fans that help to keep you safe. AMA’s Stars vs. Paparazzi is free to download on Google Play.

7. Zenonia 5

Not a lot to say here other than if you’re a Zenonia fan you’re going to be happy. Gamevil unveiled the 5th game in the series this week which lets you gear up and go to battle as four different classes as you battle the forces of darkness. If you enjoyed the other games you’ll definitely want to get this one and you can pick it up for free.

8. Pocket Dragons

Creative Mobile snuck a nice new Android game onto Google Play this week called Pocket Dragons.  This little RPG puts your skills to the test as you’ll get to train and fight dragons in mission and with folks online. It’s a fun little game and you can get it for free on Google Play.

9. Puffers

Puffers is a new Tap & Destroy game from Shortcut Studios that’s sure to test you reflexes. You’ll have to pop Puffer fish as fast as you can which is harder than you think as all Puffers are not created equal. Puffers has two different modes of play and a funky style gamers young and old will enjoy. It’s a great quick play game and it’s free to download.

10. Christmasville: Missing Santa

Nevosoft put out a holiday themed hidden object game this week with Christmasville: Missing Santa. You’ll play a private detective that’s out to find Santa as you search for hidden objects, take on puzzles, and solve riddles. Christmasville is a free download, but limited as you’ll be prompted to buy the full version after playing a bit of the game.
