1. Netflix

The Netflix app has finally hit the Android Market. People have been waiting for this for a long time now, and unfortunately it looks like some of us are going to be waiting a bit longer. It only works on some devices, and it’s quite a short list right now. If you own an HTC Incredible, EVO 4G, Nexus One, or G2 you are in luck. You will have to be running at least Android 2.2, which shouldn’t be an issue if you have one of those phones. It’s also available for the Samsung Nexus S, but there’s no such luck for us Samsung Galaxy owners yet. If you one of the lucky ones, you’ll want to grab this free app, and start watching movies on your phone.

2. WebMD

WebMD finally put their app out this week, and it’s packed full of some great information. It has several nice features like the symptom checker, Pill ID, and the locate a doctor function. The first-aid section is great too; it can help you with everything from a bee sting to a broken arm. It’s one of the most informative & helpful apps that you can have on your phone, and best of all its free!

3. Expedia Hotels

If you travel a lot, there is a good chance you have used Expedia. Now they have a hotel app in the market that is sure to make your life easier. The app will give you the real-time availability of over 130,000 hotels, and some great pictures to check out before you make a decision. There are several different filters included like price and distance that will make finding your ideal hotel much easier. You can also book your room securely from within the app. It feels very streamlined, and it works great. You can get Expedia Hotels in the market for free.

4. N.O.V.A. 2 HD

Gameloft just keeps popping out games, and this week they brought two more to their Android lineup. N.O.V.A. 2 is a great looking shooter that is reminiscent of another popular game called Halo. I haven’t gotten to play this one yet, but I did play the first one and it was pretty awesome. This version has 12 chapters, and 5 different multiplayer modes. It has nice feature with the Ranking & Perks system, and dozens of weapons to choose from. If you’d like to give N.O.V.A. 2 a shot, you can get it for 4.99 from Gameloft’s Store.

5. ColorSnap

ColorSnap is a great new app from paint manufacturer Sherman Williams. You can pick a color from a photo stored on your phone (or take a new picture), and the program will pick matching colors for you. The app will also give you the color names & values which will help you pick out your paint easier when you get to the store. They have over 1,500 paint colors in the database, so getting matching colors will be a breeze. You can grab ColorSnap for free in the Android market.

6. Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus HD

The second release from Gameloft this week was a bit of a surprise, as they put it in the Android Market. Yes, you can actually go download Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus from your phone, through the market! This is a great looking FPS that really plays well on the phone. The controls are very responsive, and you’ll get to fight it out on 12 battlefields set in various locations around the world. They also have multiplayer with up to 10-players online and in local mode.

7. Pinball HD for Tegra

If you like Pinball, and you own a Tegra-powered device you need to check out Pinball HD. It’s hands down one of the best pinball games you can have on your phone, and it looks awesome. The controls are responsive, and it even has a kind of camera tilt that gives it a nice 3D feel. Speaking of 3D, the game has a Stereoscopic imaging option if you own a pair of 3D glasses. Remember, it’s only for Tegra-powered phones & tablets, anything else won’t run this. You can get Pinball HD for Tegra in the Market for 2.99.

8. Walmart

The superstore giant known as Walmart popped an app onto the market this week, and it’s actually pretty cool. It lets you check the inventory, get directions, and check on the deals of the day. The layout is very clean and easy it’s easy to use as well. If you shop at WalMart frequently, you’ll want to get this app.

9. Retrocollect

Retrollect is a slick new photo app from Border Stylo. This app will let you make a mash-up of photos, tweets, and status updates. You can literally give a play-by-play of a certain experience, and share those moments of Facebook or twitter. The coolest part is the fact that it puts your memories onto a Retro looking View-Master slide. You can check Retrollect out in the Market for free.

10. Yahoo Fantasy Baseball

This one should’ve been on “Top Baseball” list weeks ago, but at least it’s finally here. The app has real-time fantasy score updates, and it lets you manage your yahoo fantasy baseball lineup. It’s a good app for managing your Fantasy baseball team, but there is some room for improvement. There have been reports of scores not being updated, and I experienced the same thing on my end. I’m sure they’ll get it fixed soon, and it will be as good as it was last year.
