Top 5 Android Dating Apps

by On March 14, 2012

One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do… So says the band known as Three Dog Night, but you don’t have to be a lonely number one if you’ve got a number two. Finding that number can be easy if you use an Android app for dating, and we’ve come up with a list of the best to help you combat that loneliness. Here are our Top 5 Android Dating Apps for you’re reading pleasure…

1. Match.com

Match.com is the number one dating site on the net so its makes sense that they’d also have one of the top dating apps. The Match.com Android app lets you browse member profiles, check daily matches and send winks to those that you want to flirt with. You can basically do all the things available on site and are only limited by whether you’re a subscriber or free user. The Match.com app is free, but you’ll have to sign-up for a free account to check it out.

2. Plenty of Fish

PlentyofFish is my personal favorite on the list and it’s a site a lot of folks have probably used. They also claim to be the top dating site on the net, and while we don’t know the facts I can say that a lot of people I know have had a high-success rate on the site. The Plenty of Fish app lets you browse for hookups, exchange messages, arrange dates, and do all of the usual things. The app & service are free, but again you’ll have to setup an account to get rolling.

3. SKOUT

SKOUT is a cool social Android dating app that lets find people nearby to mingle with. It’s free, easy to navigate, and has a lot of users. I don’t live in a super-populated area or anything, but got quite a few hits within a mile or two of my abode. I did notice several fakes or questionable profiles, but you should be able to spot those with ease. There is a free version of the app and a paid version that’s ad/banner free for $3.99. You can find both versions of SKOUT on Google Play.

4. BeNaughty

BeNaughty is dating app from Cupid PLC that lets you have a little fun without getting too serious. It’s more of a “flirting” app than a dating one, but does have a GPS function if you want to talk to someone nearby. It is a fun app and I’ve actually met a few cute chicks on there, but you’ll have to pay a little money if you’re a guy. Yup, BeNaughty is free for women, but men will have to pay a little extra for some added functionality. You can still browse and flirt around though as the app itself is free.

5. MiuMeet Live Flirt & Dating

MiuMeet is a free dating app that has some nice social features. You can send texts, import Facebook photos, and use love match calculator to find a match based on Astrology. You’re able to filter through potential matches by age, interests, and tags while the GPS function finds similar folks nearby. I haven’t tried this one personally; I know it’s free but I believe there are some pay features available. You can find the MiuMeet dating app on Google Play for free.
