Top New Android Apps of the Week – November 25, 2012

This week’s list of Android Apps truly has something for everyone as there are apps that will let you trick our your phone, check up on sports scores, and create magical things from scratch. Yup, it’s that time again so sit back, relax, and enjoy our picks for the Top New Android Apps of the Week…


1. Creatorverse

There are a lot of Android Apps out there that let you ‘make’ things, but none do it quite like Creatorverse. The game allows you to become an inventor and design your own unique creations to tinker with and it’s one of those apps you just have to see for yourself. No free version is available at this time, but the full version of Linden Research’s Creatorverse is well worth checking out for only $4.99.


2. Pimp my Rom

If you have a rooted phone keep reading, if not skip to the next entry on the list. Pimp my Rom is an awesome app to have if you’re on a rooted devices as it allows you to customize and tweak your current rom to perfection. It can be used on any device and on any rom… just let that sink in for a minute before you head of to download it. It’s a “must-have” app if you’re rooted an you can get it for free on Google Play.


3. 365scores: Sport Scores & News

If you’re a sports nut you know it can be a real pain to keep up to date on all your teams. 365Scores can take care of that though as it gives you personalized scores, fast push messages with real time updates, and you can even get video right after it happens. I haven’t tried this one out myself, but it comes highly rated and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.


4. Amazon Mobile (Tablet)

Amazon finally released a tablet app that lets you search their store this week so gone are the days of using the clunky web browser to search their massive inventory. The app allows you to see all of their great deals, share products with friends, and purchase items with a simple click. It’s easy to use, looks great on my tab, and it’s free to download.



5. easyMute

Ever need to mute something quickly? No doubt you have, and if you’ve got an Android app like easyMute you won’t have to jump through hoops to hit the mute button. The app uses your phones proximity sensor so you simple need to put your hand over your phone to mute it… even when your screen is locked. It’s a great app and it’s free to download on Google Play.


6. Blacque Blue Icon Pack

I’ve been a sucker for neon ever since the 80s version of Tron. If you enjoy those bright neon lights as much as I do you’ve probably got neon themed icons and if you don’t… now’s your chance to pick some up. The Blacque Blue Icon Pack has over 270 icons and it works with a wide variety of launchers including Apex, Nova, Go, and ADW. It’s compatible will Jellybean and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.


7. MediSafe Family Meds Reminder

Medicine makes you feel better, but it’s difficult to remember to take it at times. The MediSafe Family Meds Reminder can ease that burden as it can call your caretaker or family member to remind you of your meds if you don’t update the app when you take them. It’s a simple concept, it works like a charm, and it’s free to download on Google Play.
