by On November 4, 2012

We’re back with our weekly roundup of the Top New Android Apps of the Week. This weeks list features apps that let you grab colors, warp photos, color monsters, and there’s even an app to help you get a good nights sleep . As always we’ve tried to include a little something for everyone so sit back, relax, and enjoy our picks for the Top New Android Apps of the Week…

1. Snapchat

Snapchat is a new way to chat as you snap and send pictures to your friends and loved ones. The kicker is the fact that the pictures are timed so the person you’re sending them to will have to check them quick or lose them forever. It’s definitely an interesting app and you can pick up for free on Google Play.

2. Scan Master

Scan Master uses your camera to ‘scan’ in photos of your document where you’ll then be able to edit them or save them as a .pdf. The app is full of great features and you don’t even have to use your camera to scan something in as you can use images already in your gallery as well. It works like a charm and is well worth a look if you’re in the market for a scanning app.

3. Color Grab

Colors can be difficult for some of us to pick out, but if you’ve got an app like Color Grab you’ll never have worry about colors again. Color Grab lets you pick, detect, and recognize colors with your camera and it has a catalog of over 1300 colors for you to peruse. Great app to have on hand and it’s free to download on Google Play.

4. Bestiary Live Wallpaper

There are tons of live wallpapers out there, but not many are as funky as the Bestiary Live Wallpaper from Jason Allen. This LWP fills your screen full of beastly monsters, and it’s one of those things you’ve just got to see to believe. If you’re looking for a live wallpaper that’s a bit different, the Bestiary Live Wallpaper is just for you.

5. Grandpa’s Workshop

Noodlecake Studios has put out some great stuff this year, and now they’re back with something for the kids. Grandpa’s Workshop will keep your kids busy as they work through 7 mini-games in with Grandpa and build their own clubhouse. It’s fun, educational, and you can get it for $0.99 on Google Play.

6. Windows 8 GO Launcher

If you run GO Launcher EX and love Windows we’ve got just the thing for you with the Windows 8 GO Launcher theme by Pizero Design. The theme looks great and gives your phone the feel of having Windows 8 on your Android device. It’s a free theme to download if you’re running GO Launcher EX.

7. Montblanc Worldsecond

The Montblanc Worldsecond is a photo sharing app of sorts that lets users snap pictures at the same instant around the globe. The photos will be used to create an online mosaic of shared moments that happened at the same time, and the app is your way to get in on the fun. It’s a very interesting concept and the app is free to download if you want to give it a go.

8. Boo! Monster Coloring Book

Samsung is known more for their electronics than their apps, but they did drop a nice little app by the name of Boo! Monster Coloring Book. This is one of their great “SmarBooks’” apps and it’s got a spooky Halloween theme that kids should enjoy. This one’s great to have on hand if your kids like to color and you can get it for free.
