Twitter Rules Saying Kids Need to be Murdered Doesn’t Violate ToS
On Sunday, Twitter ruled that saying Dana Loesch’s children need to be murdered doesn’t constitute a breach of service terms, as in it doesn’t violate their ToS (terms of service for millennials). In case you’re a total nerd who’ve never fired a gun in his/her life, Dana Loesch is a hot chick who also happens to be NRA’s (National Rifle Association) spokeswoman. Here’s the deal, a picture is worth a thousand words, or so I’ve been told:

In case you’re not the quickest of cats at the best of times, Chris is Dana’s husband. As you can see, a peaceful anti-NRA nut asked for Loesch’s children to be murdered, yet Twitter’s tech support, in their infinite wisdom and understanding I might add, decided that inciting to violence against children is perfectly kosher on their platform, if those children happen to have NRA’s spokeswoman as their mother. Nothing to see here, move along. It so happens that Twitter’s rules state:
“You may not make specific threats of violence or wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people,”
The reported tweet reads:
“The only way these people learn is if it affects them directly. So if Dana Loesch has to have her children murdered before she’ll understand, I guess that’s what needs to happen.”
As far as making specific threats of violence against one’s children (!) goes, this is an open and shut case. Not for Twitter apparently. However, backlash ensued over social media, and Twitter caved to public pressure, and performed an 180, i.e. they reversed course on their Sunday ruling. If you are wondering what’s up with today’s story, NRA has become a popular target for liberal activist mental-cases, who are accusing the organization of being responsible for crimes committed by non NRA members, such as mass shootings.
As per Twitter, they are the definition of “different rules for different folks”. Remember this?

Now we all know who rules Twitter. However, I don’t understand why people keep using and thereby supporting, a business that is working so hard to hurt/censor them…
