I’m a sucker for Western themed games, and while there aren’t many of them available for Android we did get a new one over the weekend. Wagon Shootout puts you in charge of a wagon train, and you’ll need quick fingers and great typing skills if you want to make it through the borderlands alive. Wagon Shootout is a western themed typing game where you’ll have to tap out words to keep your enemies off your tail. As soon as your wagon takes off, enemies start coming after you and you’ll need to type the words over their heads to take them out. Reloading is done through swiping, and there’s a control/horse button that gives you an extra boost of speed if you need to put some distance between you and the bandits. Rounding out the controls are a grenade button, and the spacebar which gives you some slo-mo matrix style action. As Wagon Shootout is somewhat of an endless runner, there are no levels to speak of. There are a few weapons and power-ups available in the shop though if you want to kick things up a notch. Wagon Shootout is a solid typing game that’s good for some quick fun when you’ve got a few minutes to spare. There’s not a lot of depth, but there are some achievements to shoot for and a Gacha machine that spits out prizes every so often. Wagon Shootout is ad-supported and free to download on Google Play if you want to take it for a spin.
