This is it folks! Verizon Wireless has officially announced the coming of the much awaited Motorola XOOM Android Tablet. Mark the date, February 24 – that’s two days from now. One of the highly anticipated Android tablet, the Motorola XOOM which is highly regarded as tablet that will be the iPad’s fiercest rival will soon be available. But wait, before we get too excited about the release of the Motorola XOOM, is the Verizon Wireless price point something to be excited about as well? How about if we tell you that it will be available from Verizon for a whooping $599 if you get a two-year service contract? That comes with a wireless 3G data service that will cost you $20 monthly with 1GB monthly access. Sounds fair enough? If that doesn’t sound too exciting, Verizon is also promising that you can upgrade the Motorola XOOM to 4G LTE Service during the 2nd quarter of 2011 for free. Fine, enough? If you really don’t want to get tied up under a two-year Verizon contract, you can opt to get the Motorola XOOM still. This time for $799. But then since this is the 3G version of the Motorola XOOM, it will be wise to get the tablet with a corresponding data contract. We leave the decision to you then our dear readers. Which ever path you choose to take into owning the Motorola XOOM, remember that you’ll be getting an Android tablet with 1GHz dual-core processor, a 10.1-inch widescreen display, front-facing 2 MP camera, rear-facing camera that can capture 720p HD video plus a plethora of other nice mobile features.
