It is known that T-Mobile will be launching the G2 smartphone, the first to operate on its HSPA+ network, sometime soon. In fact, the current rumors pins a launch on September 29. Since T-Mobile has not officially announced the specs, pricing, or official release date at this time everything currently being reported is a rumor. However, the specs Walmart announced on the product page are probably close to the real thing. The T-Mobile G2 will feature a 3.7 inch Active Matrix OLED touch screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, slider QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and runs Android with an HTC Sense UI. No word on which version of Android it will be running, but it will most likely be Android 2.1. I’m sure it is only a matter of time now before T-Mobile announces all the information we desire.
