This is one I didn’t see coming. Today The Pokémon Company released the official Pokemon TV App, and as the name implies you can now watch Pokémon cartoons on your favorite Android device. The Pokemon TV app is about as simple as it gets. From the main menu you can access Pokémon episodes by region and at this time you can choose from Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto. The seasons may not be in order, but the episodes for each Region/Season are in sequence thankfully. There are 10 episodes per season for a total of 50 with more listed as coming soon. There’s also a “special” section that promotes Pokémon BW: Adventures in Unova, but it only has a brief trailer for that. There are no additional features, but there are also no ads and no need to login or sign up for anything at all. If you’re into Pokémon you’ll love the Pokémon TV app as it gives you instant access to Pokémon episodes and it’s a breeze to use. I was impressed that they dropped 50 episodes at once, and the quality was good on every episode I sampled. One can only hope this is only the first of many official Pokémon apps, but only time will tell. If you want to get your Pokémon on you can head on over to Google Play and pick up the Pokemon TV app for free.
