Bogan’s Run is an interesting Endless Runner from the folks at POLYGAMe digital that involves sticky feet, magical monkeys, beer, and Bogans of course. By now I’m guessing you’re wondering what a Bogan is? If you hail from the land down under you already know, and if not just keep reading… A Bogan is a creature steeped in myth and legend. They tend to stick to dark colors, love rock n’ roll, and while they generally stick to the suburbs of Sydney and Auckland occasionally they leave their homesteads in search of chicks and beer. Now that you know what a Bogan is, let’s take a look at the game. As mentioned, Bogans Run is an Endless Runner, but unlike other games of the genre you’ll spend your time running up instead of forward as the Holy Grundies of Doom lie at the top of the tower. As you make your way towards the top of the tower you’ll have to dodge things by swiping left and right; there is no jumping or sliding involved… just a lot of running to a catchy soundtrack. Bogan’s Run is definitely a different type of running game, and it’s very straight-forward as you do nothing but run and rock out to music by Necropolo. Running upwards is a bit of a trip at times too; more than once it looked like things were moving slowly to the side right before I smacked into something. Maybe they were or it might have just been an optical delusion… only the Bogan knows. I did have a good time testing this one out, but I do wish there were a little more to it as it feels pretty bare bones. If you’re looking for something a little different you can pick up POLYGAMe digital’s Bogan’s Run for $0.99 on Google Play.
