What to Expect From Sony at Tomorrow’s Mobile Asia Expo
As you may already know, tomorrow there will be blood, I mean, for you tech hound dogs out there, Sony will reveal its latest high tech stuff among other things, including the rumored Sony Xperia ZU, at a press conference at Mobile Asia Expo. The tech event will be held in Shanghai, China and in Europe, in Munich, Germany.
Among other goodies,Sony will release a relatively unknown phone, the Xperia C and also a version of the Xperia SP.
Well, first things first, the star of the show is expected to be the Sony Xperia ZU, a phablet which will rival Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 (almost 3 any day now), having a huge 6.5 inches wide display and featuring a stylus. It will be built on Qualcomm’s latest system on chip, the best in the industry so far, the Snapdragon 800. Also, Sony will present some wearable technology, in the form and shape of a Smart Watch. Google, beware!
The Sony Xperia C is the Cinderella of the show, being a low-mid budget oriented Droid for the Chinese market. The new Xperia SP will feature the TD-LTE technology.
Let’s take a look at the Sony Xperia C. On the Sony Xperia Blog, there were leaks from “trusted” sources, describing the Xperia C , codenamed CN3, as being a dual SIM Android running smart phone, with a 5 inches touch screen of 540×960 pixels resolution, a quad core CPU courtesy of Media Tek running at 1.2 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory, expandable via micro SD cards. Being 8.8 mm thick and with a 8 Megapixels camera on its back, you will be able to take some nice pictures, thanks to its Sony Exmor R sensor. Yet, being a budget oriented device, it’s not very probable it will hit the US markets any time soon. Well, maybe you have some Chinese relatives, they can smuggle one for you, who know? Just kidding.
Now, a quick word about the Xperia SP TD-LTE. This too is a mid ranged droid, targeted to China Mobile carrier. This is marketed as a high end smartphone with an affordable price tag.
If you want to know more, you know, just wait until tomorrow .
