In a post unrelated to Google Android, Digitimes inadvertently announced that Google will be announcing its next iteration of Android, Android 3.0, in March. With Gingerbread having been announced just weeks ago, Android 3.0 (aka Honeycomb) is hot on people’s minds as tablets from Motorola are expected to use the tablet friendly Android OS. If you take a look at this quote from Digitimes, you will notice their mention of Android 3.0 in the last sentence:
On the other hand, MSI is set to display its 10-inch Wintel-based tablet PC as well as engineering samples of its ARM-based Google Android model. MSI is also prepared to sell an Nvidia Tegra 2-based model in April or May after Google releases Android 3.0 in March.
Unfortunately, the article did not really expand on this information, but it looks plausible as Motorola is expected to announce an Android tablet at CES 2011 running Android 3.0. However, it is important to note that this is still a rumor and hasn’t been officially confirmed by Google.
