World of Goo now available in the Android Market

by On November 28, 2011

Gamers the wait is over as the uber-popular game World of Goo has finally arrived for Android. 2D Boy knocked it out of the park, and fans of the game will be happy as it was well worth the wait. If you’ve never played this awesome game you’re truly in for a treat as World of Goo is one of the best physics-based games around, and now you can play it on your Android. If you’ve never heard of World of Goo, here’s the basic premise. Each levels you’re given a slew of Goo Balls which can be connected together to form makeshift towers & bridges. Your goal for each level is to reach the pipe which will suck the lil’ Goo Balls up and send them on their way to the next level. It may sound simple, but it’s not as you’ll be challenged by obstacles and the weight of the Goo Balls themselves. I don’t want to spill all the beans Goo for people that haven’t played the game yet so I’ll just say everything that made this game an award-winner is present in this version and it’s a top-notch game all around.

I was on the fence about how this would look and play on my Captivate, but after getting to check it out over the weekend I was blown away by how well 2D Boy did with the conversion to Android. Everything fans loved about the original is here including Giant Tongues, The Mysterious Sign Painter, and lots of Goo Balls of course. Full review will be up tomorrow so check back, but until then you should go get World of Goo while it’s sale. There is a trial version available so you can see how the game runs on your phone, and the full version is a real steal for its current sale price of $2.99. World of Goo Demo World of Goo
