ZTE Nubia Z5 – a power punch at low cost

by On December 26, 2012

Few weeks before a major leak occurred regarding the latest device from ZTE, the ZTE Nubia Z5. The leak spilled many beans and almost gave everything away correctly. We were a bit skeptical of the leaked information not because of its nature but of its content. The ZTE Nubia was packing some serious heat under its beautiful hood. Today’s official announcement fortunately made the leaked details a reality. And indeed the ZTE Nubia Z5 comes out as an impressive device. The screen is a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, that is a full HD resolution right there. The smartphone will be running a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. 2 GB worth of RAM will keep the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean running smoothly on the device. The ZTE Nubia Z5 comes with 32 GB on board memory too. The ZTE Nubia Z5 will be housed in an aluminum unibody coming just at 7.6mm thickness. The thickness also becomes more impresses due to the fact the device houses a 3000 mAh battery. That is around 900 mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy S3. There will be no microSD card slot for further expansion according to our knowledge, which is unfortunate for those who want to take full advantage of the full HD 1080p screen. The device will arrive sometime in January, which is just around the corner. The catch is ZTE Nubia Z5 is launching in China only at this moment at a price of ¥ 3,456.00, more or less $550. It is still unknown whether the device will come to the US or Europe at this time. But giving the specs of the device, many users will be interested in trying out the new device, especially if it runs almost stock Android OS.
