App Review – Mokriya Craigslist for Android

Craigslist is a massive site used by millions of people around the world, but navigating that site from your mobile isn’t always easy. The Mokriya Craigslist app is hoping to change that and it’s by far the sharpest Craigslist app you’ll find on Android. The first thing you’ll notice when you fire up the Mokriya Craigslist app is how cool it looks. You’re presented with a white screen and a simple bar that lets you access the apps main functions. The first tab lets you post, check your favorites, and set alerts while the pick a category tab gives you a dropdown box featuring all the Craigslist categories. From there you’ll be able to view everything from housing listings and gigs to services and personals. Everything is easy to access and there is a lot to browse through depending on your locale. Looking for deals is a breeze with the Mokriya Craigslist app, but how about posting? The app claims you can post quickly in under a minute, but I was unable to test the app as that’s a paid feature. You can browse listings for free, but if you want to post, set up alerts or set your favorites you’ll have to upgrade to the full version for $0.99. A small price to pay for such a slick app, but this slick little app has a few nagging issues… While the Mokriya Craigslist is by far the sleekest Craigslist around, the actual features could use some work. It does “miss” listings compared to the website, and there are several bugs that need to be squashed. The problems seem to vary wildly from user to user with some reporting that they can’t even use the app due to a UI bug. I was hit with the “something went wrong” error several times on one device, but the app worked fine on another device I tested it on. Mokriya has put out the best looking Craigslist app around, now they just need to get it to work properly. It’s an app that’s definitely worth a look if you’re into Craigslist, it’s just going to be hit or miss to whether it works properly on your device. If you want to give it a whirl you can pick up the Mokriya Craigslist app on Google Play.
